The Claim of Love
Who am I to express my being before You,
To talk about my claiming to love You? I am that dot that is counted as 'naught'; Who am I to lest myself on the Path? I am too low to claim to be nothing; Don't say, "Be discreet!" — let me declare: "There's but one Being manifest for all eternity; My talk of body and soul would be nothing but a fable' I have clearly seen that idol and idolater both are He; Why should I, then, carry on talking about the idol-breaker? 0 preacher! I don't know about religion and unbelief; So, hush! Or else, I'll expose your secrets to all. For years and years I have had no news of Nurbakhsh; There's no trace of him in my memory to express any 'I'. ISSUE NUMBER 27/
